4th graders recent work included a formal lesson on Perspective. They were introduced to the Vanishing Point and created the illusion of Shapes becoming Form.
Pre schoolers have finished their Value Painting! They have been introduced to the words Tints and Shades. All K5 students have practiced how to make a color darker by adding black (shade) and lighter by adding white (tint).
Tints and shades triangles were added to create contrast to their painting:
You know when it has been a good Painting day in the Art Room when your painting trays start like this:
And by the end of the class they look like this:
That is the proof of how hard 2nd Graders worked on their Still Lifes! They have worked from observation with focus on composition,colors,textures.Here is some final results:
Third Graders just finished their Value paintings! Tints and shades were added to the background of their action figures silhouettes in order to create emphasis.
